What an interesting article. It reminds me of the First-Rate Madness book I read. That sometimes some traits are better than others for dealing with crises situations. Because not all people are equipped to act. Maybe that's why we all truly need each other - to balance each other out.

Brings up the question of what motivates someone to choose or adhere to a "code" -- and whether that has anything to do with the code itself -- or just the conditions under which it was learned. Good food for thought.
